“The Mariner’s loft was a fantastic place to stay for my friend and I who traveled to the BC islands to stay farther off the beaten path. The ferry ride into Saltspring Island was scenic and not overly burdensome. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to the property to see how well maintained and up to date everything was. The place is basically brand new! The condo was very spacious and has a great view of the harbor right off the balcony. We spent a good amount of time relaxing on the balcony and watching the sea planes fly in from overhead. The island is not too spread out, so it was easy to walk to a number of bars, restaurants, and the grocery store. The whole environment was very quiet and relaxing and provided many activities nearby. We spent time hiking to the different peaks on the island (on average 2 hours) which provided great views of the area and neighboring islands! We also spent time sea kayaking around the island with a guide who knew the area well. It was raining lightly that day, but I felt that it made being out on the water even more enjoyable, and also had numerous encounters with some sea lions. I definitely plan on visiting the island and staying at the Mariner’s Loft again sometime in the future!”

“I just got back from a girls weekend on Salt Spring Island. We were lucky enough to have chosen the Mariner’s Loft as our place to stay. It was wonderful!. There were 4 of us and 3 beds so we were able to work out all the sleeping arrangements easily. It is a quick walk to Ganges with numerous restaurants to choose from, a quick walk to the Saturday market… This was just a great location overall. The newness of Mariner’s Lodge was also an added bonus. All of us said that we would want to stay here again if we go back~ And we really hope to go back as it Ganges / Salt Spring Island is amazing. I was surprised at how much there was to do and see on the island. I would highly recommend staying at the Mariner’s Loft.”
